When it comes to buying cars, Nigerians find it difficult to trust easily. Who can blame them though? Anyone will
Growing up as kids in the time past, the career choices were limited, and this isn’t even peculiar with one family, it was the norm in the past decades, you were either going to school to become a doctor, lawyer, accountant, engineer or a journalist, but this isn’t the case anymore.
As a matter of fact, growing your social media following no matter what the platform is, can transform your life, establish you strongly in a specific market and become an “influencer”, unlock resources, revenue streams, and, of course, because you have access to a huge network, brands will start looking for and hooking up with you in hopes of getting some love in your social streams.
A social media influencer is an online brand advocate who talks favorably about a brand or product, and then passes on positive word-of-mouth messages about the brand to other people, spreading the word through their personal social channels.
He is a user on social media who has established credibility in a specific field, has access to a large audience and can persuade others by virtue of their authenticity and reach. He takes part in relevant conversations across a variety of networks.
Social media is unique because it is in constant change and so, to be considered an influencer, people need to see you as a resource. Consider your audience and share content that they’ll find useful. Sharing your knowledge is how you’ll truly stand out as an influencer.
If your goal is to be an expert in the digital space and become known as an influencer, there are plenty of things you can do to raise your profile. Develop your expertise and use social media to raise yourself to influencer status.
Remember, Social media Influencer marketing focuses on using key leaders, influential handles on social media to drive a brand’s message to the larger market. On the long run, inspire / hire / pay influencers to get out the word .
So you see that social media is “Not just social media” it’s a platform where one builds a career and even a life, hence the need to be strategic once you begin to attain the height where you are referred to as an influencer.
Let me warn, if you’re just beginning to take your social media to the next level, it’s easy to get discouraged when you have not too many followers, everyone wants to be friends with someone who has a million followers, but what you on the other hand need to do instead is build relationships with people in your league. 5 people with 10,000 active followers who retweet you can make you or your content go viral in a single day.
It is common knowledge that Rome wasn’t built in a day, and no matter how big a deal you think you are, nobody in this world succeeds entirely on their own. Social media is by all forms of definition about people, and therein lays your most valuable engine for success, and using myself as an example, I can say for sure that as an influencer, you will make an around-the-clock impact once your followers become more like advocates who love to amplify your contents.
As a social media influencer, never ever underestimate the power of people because people are the drive to your success or otherwise. Don’t undervalue loyal audiences because the real goal is to keep your social media followers happy and engaged long after they initially click the “Follow” or “Like” button.
Take advantage of the captive audience that you have in social media. Followers will always appreciate that you care about what they have to say. Social media is about being social, after all.
